As some of you may already know, I have a fixative interest in countries and cultures. And currently, it is Korea, hell Asia. I just finished watching King to Hearts, which is a South Korean drama about the unity of North and South Korea.
Now about the drama: It was gripping...I could not get enough of it. I found myself saying, "damn, this drama is so good. Maybe I should wait till school is over to complete it. Yeah, yeah, I should." Then, with each episode, I end up watching the next one...and the next one and the next one... until I finished it". How disappointing in myself I was. lol. But I was glad that I watched it.
Being as I am, I am pro- unity. The consept of the series was indeed an astonishing one. One of my many favorite actors, Lee Seung Gi, did an excellent job in portraying the King of South Korea who came to face many obsticles but never gave up in securing the Unity of the North and South.
Now You must understand...I am not one to pay much attention to politics. Why? Because we do not seem to have dependable leaders. No matter what country, there is just corruption and politicians who are simply just hungry for money and power. I Know the significant of money and power but, I really can not tollerate such bullshi* in politics. So you can imaging my excitement when I found a political show that went so far as to claim unity for its brother North.
Do not get me wrong...I am still not fond of diplomacy I still will not and can not get past that "I hate such and such so destroy them with a bomb" attitude that I have been under the impression of from North K. But if North Korea can seriously, get their act together, I will be on their side too. However, I do not see them ever coming to their senses. At least, no time soon.
Whatever it maybe. I still think the movie/ series was freaking awesome. :) I mean...I did watch twenty episodes in three days. LOL.
In case you are wondering...No, I do not only watch Korean or Asian stuff. I recently finished a political spoof movie about the Nazis as well as a well written movie about the a kid and his Jewish friend...but thats for another post...The point is I am diverse and universal. I am not limited to one thing. I explore em all. :)
